TODD KLEPERIS CEO
Todd is an accomplished serial entrepreneur with over two decades of experience in both the US and Asia Pacific markets.
Having grown one startup from Asia, bringing millions of dollars of product into the US, only proves his ability to bring great ideas to fruition. Globally he has built sales channels in every country in Asia, Africa and EMEA. Domestically he has been able to quickly acquire clients like Google, Diebold, Securitas, Boon Edam, as well as many others. Prior to joining HARDCAR, Todd was the EVP of Sales for Broadband Discovery Systems where he was able to open a number of countries internationally and was awarded the Popular Science “Best of What’s New” Award for 2016. He also secured the world’s largest datacenter as a client within one year which will deploy globally in 2017.
All of Todd’s past roles have given him the ability and afforded him the time to now establish the premier next generation security firm with armored transport security service, HARDCAR Security. His technology development background enables him the ability to build a solution from a napkin or blueprint. Todd has military background and is a veteran of the US Army. He serves on numerous advisory boards for firms in Asia and has a strong interest in helping young entrepreneurs make a solid impact and achieve their goals.
He has been featured on ‘WSJ’, ‘The NY Times’ and other publications both here in the US and abroad.
Todd holds a degree in entrepreneurial studies and marketing from Babson College.
JEFFREY BREIER COO
Jeff has more than 30 years combined in the fields of Law Enforcement, Corporate Security Management, Security Training, Private Investigation, Executive Protection and Business Management. In his career he has successfully completed more than 5000 executive protection details without ever suffering a loss of life or critical failure in service.
Co-founder of HARDCAR Security, Jeff is committed to utilizing decades of security experience and best practices to serve our cannabis industry. Jeff has extensive experience with start-up tech companies and co-founded GPSit, a wireless Location Based Services company servicing law enforcement with technical surveillance during high risk narcotics investigations.
Security Manager for 14 years with SONY, TOYOTA and VALUTECH in charge of executive protection, asset protection, physical security, CCTV camera placement, CCTV monitoring, theft investigations, workplace safety & risk management. Jeff managed all security officer written policies, procedures, security officer training, vetting and complete background checks. He implemented all physical security access controls, theft control solutions, using the latest technology with ongoing improvements, while maintaining security best practices. Jeff strategized daily changes in risk control and management to include the coordination of all special events and movements of high profile clients to numerous high risk locations throughout South America and Mexico.
KELLI VOWELS OPERATIONS MANAGER
Kelli has more than 15 years of senior level experience in operations and sales roles. Her diverse background includes start-up companies were she was responsible for supporting international and domestic business development & sales teams to Fortune 500 companies where she provided leadership to teams of 300+, developing the strategies and objectives to drive increased sales and profitability.
Immediately prior to joining HARDCAR Security, Kelli spent 3 years developing sales and marketing support programs for the introduction of high-tech security and robotics systems in both Asian and North American markets. Her support was key in establishing communication and partnerships in the overseas countries where her deep understanding of the cultural nuances successfully facilitated forging lasting relationships for all parties.
In her various roles, Kelli has been responsible for analyzing trends, solving problems, recruitment & retention and for personally developing herself and her teams in order to maximize contribution to overall corporate goals of each company.
Kelli holds a degree in Police Sciences from Sheridan College in Oakville, Ontario, Canada.
MIKE HENGSTEBECK COMPLIANCE OFFICER
Mike joins us with over 19 years experience. Previous to joining HARDCAR, Mike’s primary responsibilities were to source defense and physical security related products & services, and training, to; Defense and national security agencies, state and local law enforcement units, and security contractors in the united states as well as U.S. state Department approved foreign militaries and foreign law enforcement agencies.
Additionally, Mike is a Combined Tactical systems-certified Less-Lethal instructor covering; Tactical Employment of munitions, levels of force, physiological effects for Flash Bangs type explosions, Primary and Thermal Effects, Chemical Munitions, 40MM and 37MM Launchers “shot placement and kinetic energy”. He is also a Breaching Instructor which includes; department policies and procedures, Deployment procedures, door construction identity, team member positioning, post document and legal aspects of breaching.
Mike is also a NRA Chief Range safety officer and firearms instructor for handguns and rifles. He is a Simunitions-Certified scenario instructor for scenario based training development which include, applications in Law Enforcement and military tactical training such as; surveillance, strategic planning, Public Safety, Emergency Management, Executive Protection, Physical Security, 3-day SWAT classes and Team Leadership courses.
Mike volunteers his time with Black Dagger Special Operations and works with Gold Star Moms and wounded warriors that suffer from PTSD out of MacDill AFB.
Mike proudly served 4 years in the United States Navy as a gunners mate 3rd class.
HARDCAR will utilize Mike’s experience to develop and grow business as our compliance officer.
DAVID MICHAEL CHIEF STRATEGY OFFICER
David is a forward-thinking entrepreneur with a passion for innovation and emerging markets. Focused on cultivating relationships with key industry leaders and developing go-to-market strategies, his cannabis marketplace insight brings a dynamic problem solving ability and keen sense of business direction to the team. His cannabis background includes being a partner at Purple Line Media, an award-winning design studio focused exclusively on cannabis branding and packaging, working with dozens of clients to bring brands to life.
As a United States Navy veteran, he was deployed multiple times both at sea and on land. Operating in numerous theatres across the world, a list of his awards includes the Afghanistan Campaign Medal and Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal. After his enlistment ended he went on to serve on the board of directors of Operation Homefront, a military support non-profit, collectively providing financial and in-kind support to service members and their families across the nation. He is also a recipient of the Presidential Volunteer Service Award and enjoys giving back to the military community whenever possible.
Prior to joining HARDCAR, David spent 4 years with LYTX, the global leader in video-based telematics. Serving in multiple individual contributor roles that focused on new business ventures critical to support 30% YoY growth targets, while defining a new category of SAAS.
Hailing from the windy city of Chicago, he earned a Masters of Public Administration (MPA) and B.S. in Business Management using the Post 9/11 G.I Bill. He now resides in Sausalito, CA.
AARON AUGUSTIS VETERAN CANNABIS GROUP LIASON
Aaron served in the US Army as a Combat Engineer, Team Leader Sergeant. He enlisted June of 1998 from his home state of California. Aaron deployed to Mosul, Iraq in 2003 with the 37th Engineer Battalion Combat Airborne out of Fort Bragg, NC. His experience in Iraq led to him his current efforts of advocating for veterans to have access to medical cannabis for their service connected disabilities, especially combat PTSD.
Aaron founded the Veterans Cannabis Group in 2016 to educate, support, network and be a resource for our nation’s veterans who use medical cannabis. He encourages the veteran community and cannabis industry to work together to hire veterans to protect and transport medical cannabis
